No diagonal cut. No cut at all. Thin layers of PB on each side first, so thick layer of J doesn't leak thru the white bread in the lunch bag

I've never had that.    Remember Koogle(?) with the chocolate and peanut butter?  That was cool. Then there's BJ's infamous jelly and bologna sandwich.  Yum.

Diagonal cut, or no pb&j.  The way nature intended it.

I do fondly remember Koogle: http://www.kraft.com.au/virtualMuseum/decades/index.cfm?Page=decades1970 Oh great, now I'm craving Koogle...

Full disclosure: I currently have a French press with coffee from this morning that I just nuked up this afternoon.  Please don't flog me...I'm out of beans and it was an emergency.

Dave - Do you at least skim off the lilly pads?

Truth is, I can't remember the last time I let coffee sit around long enough to grow lily pads.

I do not think I have every had PB on each side, but it does make sense.  My old roomate George used to be famous for his triple and quadruple layer PBJs, after which he would complain of feeling bad (surprise).

I only like my coffee freshly brewed, and really dislike that burnt taste that you get if you leave the remaining coffee in the pot on the burner.  On a related note, I hate it when my latte goes cold too soon.  It's enough to make me want...

Ever since we had sandwiches at the O'Neill's, the boys like to choose to have their sandwiches sliced like "sailboats" or "houses!"  Tish

Dangit I forgot to get beans when we were out today...that means I'm down to my last resort...old instant espresso that I bought for a recipe.... If I don't get to buy beans tomorrow, I'll be forced to drink.....TEA!

BJ here: I did love the jelly bologna sandwich -  the perfect balance of sweet and savory.  But only try it if your taste buds are between 6 and 10 years old, unless you just ingested poison and would like to expell it quickly.

I think I'd drink tea before I drank instant espresso.  I see it's value for cooking, but for real people to DRINK??  ICK!

This poll needs one more option: "Coffee always tastes spoiled."

You'll be happy to know that I acquired some real coffee yesterday, so the instant espresso crisis was averted.

At work I have a rule that if there is leftover coffee in my cup that is less than three days old, just add to it.  Never eat the mold. (Gives you nightmares)

The Mercy Lounge was a nice place with a much better (newer) sound system than most places in the DC area.  It was sold out at 500 people so everyone had a great spot.   I was so tired from riding, that I held up a wall for the whole...

Sounds like a fun place and good music. I never took advantage of Nashville when we lived less than an hour north of there. Love, Dad

Stephin Merritt is the leader/songwriter of The 6ths, The Magnetic Fields, The Gothic Archies and another band.  Each band explores a different sound with different levels of success.  I'm not a huge fan, but this album has a couple of fun...

This past week I chose Nashville as the destination for a bike ride.  The goal was to get there in time to see She & Him at the Mercy Lounge.  I made it there, and it was worth the sore butt.  Zooey was charming and talented, and M....

I'd have rated it a 10 if it weren't for the goofy Sledgehammer song.  That song sounded like Robert Palmer to me.

This album still brings out the primal beast in me after all this time.  This is my favorite.  I could never really get into their other albums.

These guys seem to be having more fun making "music" than anybody else.  They're doing it for themselves and for anyone patient enough to give them a second listen.  Don't listen in bed or you'll have really weird dreams....

I found the dripping sarcasm and delightfully cynical lyrics refreshing.  I also found it romantic.  Of course, I also put a photo of open heart surgery on my wife's Valentine's Card today.

Very funny guy, but some songs too crude for the kids (or mom) to hear.  Great fun, though.

I gave these guys a chance because there was a lot of buzz about them.  The songwriting and music is cool, but ultimately the singer's voice is annoying.  I tried to like it, but he made my dog leave the room.

I'd buy it just for the song "I Grieve".  I've never listened to the whole album.  It has ten songs and only one is under 6 minutes long. Four songs are over 7 minutes.

This guy is really young.  I think he'll get better.  The album wasn't as good as I'd read.  A couple really good tunes, like "Ashamed".

Happy and mellow folk singer. I can only listen to this one all at once.  If I put Erin McKeown's voice on a mix with other female singers, I always skip her songs.  It's like Sandra Bullock standing next to Nicole Kidman on the red carpet.
